Get Ready!!!!! 97th Annual Western Psychological Association Conference is Around the Corner

The 97th annual convention of the Western Psychological Association (WPA) will take place in Sacramento, California April 27 – 30, 2017. The conference program can be found at WPA is a student friendly conference with offerings in research, scholarship of teaching and learning, career preparedness, social events and more! This year’s convention is hosted by California State University, Sacramento. The program will include featured addresses by distinguished psychologists such as:
Sharon Hamill, Judith Torney-Purta, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Lynette Bikos, Gail Goodman, Dean Simonton, Simine Vazire, Nolan Zane, Amber Gaffney, Serena Chen, Phillip Zimbardo, Linda Mona, Karen Rook, Josef Ruzek, Marguerita Lightfoot, Harold Takooshian, Bella DePaulo, Tania Isreal, Robert Gifford, Heidi Riggio, Cameron Neece, and Joshua Swift. Many of these presenters will hold a conversation hour with students immediately after the presentation.

Psi Beta has many activities taking place at WPA that we would like to encourage you to attend:

Students to Scholars: Creating a Path to Research for Community College Students.

4. Psi Beta Chapter Exchange

Students and advisors are encouraged to come and meet other chapters. Please come prepared to share activities that your chapter has engaged in over the last year.
