Collaboration at Greater New York Conference on Behavioral Research

October 28, 2013 the 25th Greater New York Conference on Behavioral Research was held at St. Francis College, Brooklyn. The theme of the Conference, Psychology as a Mirror of Society and the Self, reflected well during a Skype Session between New York and Moscow. For the first time, the Psi Chi and Psi Beta Students of two great nations were exchanging ideas in search of new possibilities and ways of developing professional ties in the field of Psychology. Moreover, the scope went far beyond Psychology. The students were seeking personal interactions and student exchange opportunities. This method of collaborating was something new for all of us. Professor Harold Takooshian of Fordham University in New York, together with his colleagues from Peoples’ Friendship University in Moscow, installed a Psi Chi Chapter for the psychology students of the university. For the first time, the Russian Psi Chi chapter had a Skype connection with the American Psi Chi and Psi Beta chapters.
