Inaugural “Building Bonds” Psychology Conference

On March, 23rd, 2013 the Collin Chapter of Psi Beta hosted a regional psychology conference at the Preston Ridge Campus Conference Center of Collin College. The conference brought together psychology enthusiasts from local high schools, 2-year and 4-year institutions to “build bonds,” and provide networking opportunities. Sixty students and teachers from Wakeland High School, Liberty High School, A & M Commerce, A & M University-Central Texas, UTD, Northeast Texas Community College, Collin College and SMU exchanged ideas and worked together at the event.

The keynote speaker was Pearson Education Senior Vice President, Doug Hughes who spoke on “Building Bridges through Courageous Leadership.” Along with the keynote, were workshops and panels which emphasized both teaching and student interests.
