National Research Project to Launch on November 1st !!!

A new national research project is being prepared. The new project will focus on several factors associated with personal happiness. The project will launch through a November 1st announcement to be emailed to all chapter advisors. Details will be available on the Psi Beta website on or before November 1st.  Participating chapters will be expected to submit data from a minimum of 30 participants. After the data-gathering phase, participating chapters will be given access to the complete data set (in Excel and SPSS format) in early spring and will be able to conduct their own analyses for various purposes (e.g., poster presentations at local or regional conferences, participation in Psi Beta’s research paper competition).  The Institutional Review Board (IRB) at Irvine Valley College will provide blanket approval to all participating chapters.

Chapters will continue to have access to the instruments and forms used for the former national research project on shyness and campus connectedness, but will need to obtain local IRB approval to use them for research purposes.
