Psi Beta Midwest Region Report

Dr. Bryan S. Gerber, Midwest Region Vice President

Greetings Psi Beta Midwest Region Chapter Advisors and Members,

The Psi Beta National Council has been working hard to grow the Honor Society and I would invite all of you to communicate with us regularly to provide insight and support for several National initiatives.  We are particularly interested in hearing how and why successful Chapters thrive.  Additionally, we need to know your struggles as well.  This exchange of ideas will permit us to keep strong Chapters strong and assist those who need a little help.  I am always available for your questions and concerns.  Our website will be updated soon and it is important to let us know what you think about the changes.  Please take some time to click through and see some of the new features.

It would be wonderful if all of you mark your calendars for April 12 – 14, 2018.  This is the date of the Midwest Psychological Association Annual Meeting in Chicago.  I am happy to announce there is a “high probability” (MPA’s words) Psi Beta will sponsor two sessions during the Meeting.  We are planning a student panel as well as a sponsored lecture.  The details are still being developed so be sure to keep an eye out for more information.  This is a great opportunity for us to increase the exposure of Psi Beta in the Midwest.  It would be great to know the advisors and students from Psi Beta who will be attending.  We may be able to arrange some social time.

Again, please be sure to contact me if you have any questions or concern.  Working together, we make the Psi Beta experience as positive as it should be for all.
