Psi Chi & Psi Beta Collaboration Grants Now Available

Kathleen Hughes De Sousa, Ph.D.
Psi Beta’s Southeastern Regional Vice-President

In order to encourage collaborative and cooperative activities and projects between Psi Beta and Psi Chi chapters, a Collaborative Grant has been established to help nearby Psi Beta and Psi Chi chapters carry out collaborative events with support from Psi Beta’s National Council and Psi Chi’s Board of Directors. Grant funding will allow seed money (up to $500) for up to four collaborating chapter pairs. All applicants for the Collaboration Grant will automatically be entered in the Building Bonds Award Competition.  The Collaboration Grant is open to all active Psi Beta chapters and Psi Chi chapters. Applications may be submitted by a chapter officer or by the faculty advisor and chapters are eligible for just one grant per year. Application materials must include letters of recommendations from the Psi Beta and Psi Chi faculty members, a cover sheet, and a 600-800 word grant proposal for a project. Proposals for a spring 2011 collaborative project must be received by January 20, 2011. Proposals for a fall 2011 and/or spring 2012 collaborative project must be received by June 1, 2011.
