Reasons to Serve on Psi Beta’s National Council

  • Professional Development – You’ll be on the team of America’s most talented, accomplished, and inspiring professors of psychology. Opportunities to learn from one-another are endless. Besides playing a lead role in your regional psychology conference, you’ll become part of APA’s annual conference.
  • Enhance Your College’s Psychology Program – Council members have immediate access to service learning, community service, and student research resources that provide students with engaging and enriching extra-curricular learning opportunities that cannot be learned through traditional coursework on psychology.
  • Contribute to the Psychological Literacy of America – Many students fail to realize that psychology is scientific discipline having a knowledge base derived from on-going research. Psi Beta’s programs enable local chapters to promote greater psychological literacy. As a member of the National Council, you’ll help develop and contribute strategies that promote psychological literacy and a greater appreciation for the value and application of psychology.
