WPA Convention

Portland, Oregon, will be our host for the upcoming 89th Annual Convention of the Western Psychological Association (WPA), April 23-26, 2009. As usual, Psi Beta will be sponsoring several sessions which are sure to highlight the great successes of our students and the work of our colleagues. The Diversity Project 2000 and Beyond Symposium will attract ethnic minority students eager to learn about graduate school and careers in psychology. The Psi Beta Chapter Exchange & Social Hour will offer students from various schools to share ideas on how to improve local Psi Beta chapters. We will also be collaborating with PT@CC to host a Teaching in Community Colleges Symposium featuring a panel of three community college professors. The Psi Beta Student Poster Feedback Session will showcase two dozen student research posters. It is always a joy to see the dedication and hard work that these young students put into their work. The WPA convention information and program are now available online at www.westernpsych.org. See you in Portland!
