Diversity Project 2000 and Beyond

DP2kB is a leadership and mentoring program designed for ethnic minority honor students attending community colleges.  DP2kB occurs two days prior to and two days during the American Psychological Association (APA) convention and offers full grants for out-of-state students and partial grants for local students admitted into the program.  This year the program is in Toronto, Canada, August 4 – 7, 2009.

Social Networking with Psi Beta

Following the advent of Facebook and MySpace in 2004, social networking sites have taken a central role in the lives of people from across all walks of life. In fall 2008, Psi Beta launched pages on these popular sites as a way of offering members across the country an opportunity to interact.

APS and APA Psi Beta Programs

During the annual convention of the American Psychological Association (APA) in Toronto this August, Psi Beta is sponsoring distinguished speaker Phil Zimbardo, hosting an outstanding symposium on “Facilitating Student Transitions,” and serving on PT@CC’s “Innovations in Teaching” panel. Psi Beta also has an outstanding program prepared for the annual meeting of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) meeting in San Francisco this coming May. See the details here…

APS 21st Annual Convention

The APS 21st Annual Convention will be held May 22 – 25, 2009, in San Francisco, CA. The meeting is a great opportunity to network, present your latest findings, and learn about other cutting-edge work being done in your area and in related areas of psychology.

EPA Conference Programming

This year, the Eastern Psychological Association conference will be March 6th and 7th in downtown Pittsburgh. The programming choices give lots of options for conference participants. Of particular note are several sessions which are being sponsored by Psi Beta.

WPA Convention

Portland, Oregon, will be our host for the upcoming 89th Annual Convention of the Western Psychological Association (WPA), April 23-26, 2009. Psi Beta will be sponsoring several sessions which are sure to highlight the great successes of our students and the work of our colleagues.
