Psi Beta at Eastern Psychological Association Conference

The Eastern Region of Psi Beta re-established their presence at the 2019 annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) in New York, NY on February 28 – March 2. A chapter exchange was hosted by Psi Beta Eastern Regional Vice President, Dr. Mike Colbert. Students across the region were able to learn more about the value of Psi Beta and find out about opportunities in which to grow their leadership skills. Student engaged in some chapter planning through the sharing of ideas for campus/community events, fundraising, community service, and a lot more. Through a partnering with McGraw-Hill, a student and a faculty advisor were recognized for their commitment and excellence in psychology. The Regional Outstanding Student was awarded to Kimberly Jones of Camden County College in Blackwood, NJ. Kimberly received a certificate along with a $150 cash prize!

The Regional Outstanding Advisor Award was presented to Dr. Anne Louise Dailey from the Community College of Allegheny County, North Campus, Pittsburgh, Pa. Along with a certificate of achievement, this Psi Beta chapter will receive a $150. Congratulations to both of our winners!
