Psi Beta Chapter Delegates
By Helen Greenbergs
Psi Beta’s Western Regional Vice-President
Psi Beta National President-Elect (2023-2025)
Delegates are critical members of the leadership team for your chapter. They support advisors and share current information to enhance the activities and success of their chapter.
At monthly “Coffee with the Council” Zoom meetings, Psi Beta Delegates from all over the country meet to share ideas and hear about National Council activities such as the National Research Project, Psi Beta awards and scholarships, and upcoming regional conference opportunities for Psi Beta students.
This semester, various members of the National Council are visiting each month to share a bit about their educational and professional journey, as well as to focus on one professional skill they have found important in their career journey.
At Coffee with the Council, Delegates also get to know one another and share about their chapter activities.
The next Coffee with the Council will be on Monday, April 3rd from 5-6 pm (Pacific), 6-7 pm (Mountain), 7-8 pm (Central), and 8-9 pm (Eastern).
All Delegates who are officially registered in the Psi Beta portal receive an email reminder with the Zoom link about one week prior to the meeting. Instructions to designate a Delegate for your chapter can be found at https://psibeta.org/new-psi-beta-chapter-delegates/.
[Executive Director’s Note: Every Psi Beta chapter is expected to have an active Chapter Delegate. As explained in the Chapter Handbook, Chapter Delegates are Officers on the Psi Beta chapter team.
The Psi Beta National Council will soon award extra points to award applicants from chapters that have an active Chapter Delegate in place.
The following competition applications will be given bonus points if you have an active Delegate: College Life, Chapter Excellence, Emerging Research Award, and scholarships (e.g., Pay It Forward, and the Anastasi Scholarship.]
