Join us at the Western Psychological Association Conference!

By Helen Greenbergs, PhD – Psi Beta’s Western Regional Vice-President

The 2023 Western Psychological Association Conference will be in Riverside, California, April 27-30 at the beautiful Mission Inn.

Dr. Patricia Flynn, this year’s WPA program chair and an associate professor at Loma Linda University, shares more about conference plans and some history and sites from her hometown of Riverside at https://westernpsych.org/riverside-news/. The theme of the conference this year is “Culture, Diversity, and Health.”

For Psi Beta students, we have several exciting events. On Friday at noon, we will have a joint Psi Chi/Psi Beta information session and social event. Students who are already members of an honor society – or interested in hearing about the benefits of membership – are invited to join and share in this informative event, network with other students, and enjoy some refreshments.

On Saturday morning at 8 am, come support our student presenters and hear about recent research at the Psi Beta Poster Session. On Saturday afternoon from 3:15-4:15 pm, Psi Beta students and advisors will share recent successes and challenges at the Psi Beta chapter exchange. Come ready to share ideas about recruitment, induction, the National Research Project, fundraising, community service, and more.

This year’s Western Psychological Association Conference promises to be an enriching experience. We hope to see you there!
