Psi Beta is committed to inclusion, diversity, and stands against racism.
As an organization, Psi Beta is committed to supporting our students and faculty. We recognize that resources, training, and leadership are critical to addressing prejudice and discrimination. Therefore, we look to ways that we as an organization can advocate for institutional change.
Psi Beta commits to the following actions:
• Ensure a climate that welcomes all students
• Examine our resources and our membership to ensure that we promote inclusion and diversity
• Listen and seek out ways to improve the culture of anti-racism
We condemn all forms of racism, sexism, and discrimination. Psychological science can be used to understand and improve the lives of others. The work of psychologists can be used for social justice and to promote social change. Psi Beta will continue to look for ways to advance equity and justice in our national honor society, and we welcome feedback and suggestions from our members.
For students and faculty who experience grief and stress resulting from racism, please contact your campus Student Health Center or the 24-hour hotline at 1-800-950-NAMI (6264).
